Privacy Policy

Overview

QTI Foundry is provided to help you generate and export quiz banks. Data submitted to the app is used only to operate, secure, and maintain the service. This app is currently free and provided as-is.

Data We Collect

  • Account data from authentication (for example: user ID and email via Clerk).
  • Content you create or upload, including item banks, questions, stimulus text, uploaded assets, and extracted PDF text.
  • Settings and preferences, including selected AI provider/model, UI preferences, and draft/session data stored in your browser.
  • API keys you choose to save. In-browser storage is encrypted client-side; for signed-in users, saved keys may also be stored encrypted server-side.
  • Operational and security metadata, such as request IDs, rate-limit events, and IP-based abuse controls.

How We Use Data

  • To provide core app features (generation, editing, and export).
  • To authenticate users and keep data scoped to the correct account.
  • To protect the service (rate limiting, abuse prevention, and error handling).
  • To operate and improve reliability of the product.

We do not sell your data. We do not use your content for advertising.

AI Processing

When you run AI features, prompts and relevant context (such as text you entered or uploaded content you selected) are sent to the AI provider you chose. Those providers process data under their own terms and privacy policies.

Service Providers

We use third-party infrastructure and services (for example: authentication, hosting/analytics, storage, and AI providers) only as needed to run the app.

Retention and Deletion

Data is retained while needed to provide the service. If you delete your account, associated stored app data is removed according to the app's deletion workflow.

Security

Reasonable safeguards are used, but no method of storage or transmission is guaranteed to be completely secure.

There is currently no public support contact for this app. The service is provided as-is, with no guarantees.

Policy Changes

This policy may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the service after updates means you accept the revised policy.
